man thats a big update

day 48
sunday again was another scorcher which left my pale self in the house most of the day. luckily i had projects lined out. grace called about 4 to see if i wanted to work out. i agreed but with the stipulation that ever though its ungodly hot outside i just want to do something outdoors....she agreed. so we glistened and chatted while we walked happily around the neighboorhood. and it was my lucky day that my favorite of texas wood creatures would be out and abou the same evening!!

day 47
it was super hot during the day and i could not find a single entertaining thing to do in the house by myself. everything i wanted to do either involved the outdoors or people. so you can imagine my delight when i got a message from Leigh (left above) saying the were in town for the night! i havent seen leigh and tong since brent and i's wedding!! we had such a blast at dinner reminiscing and laughing about the fun of newlywed-ism :)


day 46
what better way to conclude my wild work friday than with some Buffalo WILD wings.(sorry, i couldnt resist). Brent and I hung out with these two hillarious gentlemen here for a night of wings and weird sci fi thrillers. great wrap to the week.


day 45
another thursday night softball game for my work team. we pulled out another win to make us 5-2 in the super -Duper D league! we have fun!!:)


day 44
on the way home i decided i really wanted a Dr. Pepper float from Sonic. as i was preparing for my order i had the cutest of stalkers checking me out


day 43
it was a nice suprise after a long day at work to come home and #1 brent was home and #2 josh was in town sitting on the couch with him! i havent seen him in forever so we were happy to have him here! we met up with our buddy grace for dinner at mccalisters....somehow while at dinner we got on the topic of ice cream and frankly, after that it was all i could think about so grace and i used our "female powers of persuasion" to convince the boys to take us to HEB. This is where the picture is from...apparently there is a secret passageway oh so structurally hidden in the middle of the ice cream section.

not much to this update, this is where i spent most of the night....watching scrubs, googling.....something....looking at a magazine and just being lazy...it was a long monday...

Early Saturday morning June 20, 2009 my beautiful friend Kate (see a few weeks back in the blog) had her amazing perfect baby boy Matthew Hayden Cramer. Hes already getting used to cameras because his aunt lauren took a TON of pictures of him cause he is just soooo stinkin cute! so heres one

on Friday night Brent and I went out with some great friends for some tasty cheddars! this was a nice consolated picture of the whole gang....minus brent and i of course :) these people make me smile

so i was driving back to work from lunch and notived all the comotion going on around campus...bikers, cars, honks, beeps, huge crane going super fast hauling a cement basin in the air......all with a beautiful texas june backdrop..i liked it


Day 37
another wonderful girl night....in. we all brought a wine, dessert, or food item over and watched episodes of Sex and the City. Awesome!


Day 36
after work Grace and I worked out....3 times this week. we are getting better. i was proud of myself


Day 35
so i was lounging after a long day trying to think of what i wanted to take a picture of for the day. as i leaned back on our couch i looked up to see this. it was cool and i can be cheesy and say the "bright idea" just came to me :)

Day 34
Today was a leisurely sunday started by pancakes and eggs for lunch, swimming with the girls, highlighting erins hair in the afternoon, and super fun impromptu cookout to round out the evening. the calm water and the relaxed ladies is a good representation of the day.



Day 33
Today was GREAT because my parents came in to town for the afternoon on their way back from San Antonio. We hung out at the house, they were awesome and bought us a TON of groceries that we def. needed, and then took us to dinner. They are waaay too generous! we were soo excited to have them here..so excited in fact that i completely forgot to take a photo of or with them while they were here. they certainly were the highlight of the day so i decided that since i didnt get a picture of them, i took a picture of a picture of them on the couch were they were sitting :) enjoy!

Day 32
ok so i know this week seems a bit "sky themed" somehow but let me explain a bit. !. i really like the sky 2. college station has some really cool "skyscapage" my theory has always been that college station sky has a lot of movement thanks to the sea breeze from the coast AND a bigger benefactor is all the chemicals in the air from houston getting blown and shifted around by the sea breeze...therefore, cool sky! i think its a valid theory! anyway a bad storm was headed our direction so we had this ominous, Independence Day sky creeping closer and closer while we were out to dinner.


Day 31
the sky has stretch marks!! ok so i know its a bit of a random picture but i swear i looked up and thats what i saw....come on....its stretch marks, even the sky isnt perfect ;)


Day 30
Today we had our second consecutive week of girls desert and drinks wednesday! were on a roll! so we went to this quaint little coffee and wine bar place called Terrazo. i really like the variety of colors so i thought id try to capture it as best as possible. girls night was very fun!



Day 29
This week has been CRAZY at work, people were being super whiney, demanding, and unnecessarily impatient. So while i was milking my few last moments of my lunch staring out the window, daydreaming, this awesome bus passed by. made me think of those happy days when people went with the flow..... and a needed reminder that some people still do!

Day 28
Monday was CRAZY day at work. I was so glad to go home. Brent and I layed down and talked for like an hour and then went to dinner. it was a needed relaxer for me. then the beautiful sunset appeared and completed the goodness of the end of the day. enjoy!


Day 27
So my wonderful UMHB roomie and her wonderful friend Kelsey came in for a fast and furious trip to Texas for a few days. Sunday i drove in to Belton for a well deserved visit considering i havent seen Jessie since my wedding and Kelsey since my last trip to Nashville (...march 07). We had a wonderful day even getting to visit my beautiful soon to be mommy any day friend Kate, and my lovely friends cat and mercy! Anyway we met Kate in Georgetown at Dairy Queen for dessert. During the conversation Kate kept starting sentences with "So while i was shucking corn the other day...." which the rest of us non-country ladies thought was very cute. Eventually Kate explained that she could show us how to shuck corn b/c she had some in her truck. needless to say i love this picture b.c here are my beautiful friends learning how to shuck corn in a Dairy Queen parking lot. Love it!



Day 26
So my proudest moment of Saturday would have to be the fact that I slept over 11 hours! it was phenomenal! Brent and i ran some errands, went on a date for dinner, park walk, and movie, trip to HEB....all in all a fantastic day all around :) Anyway so TGIFridays had this buy one get one free dinner thing so we had a grand cheap evening in Fridays. i always love finding new things on their walls...

Day 25
On the first Friday of every month our town has a little artsy fest thing downtown. they keep a lot of shops and resturants open, have street vendors, outdoor movie...but they also offer fun little carriage rides for people. i love sun spots in pictures for some reason so i was very happy about catching fun carriage ride in the sun. The downtown area has a lot of good photo opts so im sure theyll be in here from time to time. :) we had a fun night out with friends



Day 24
Todays shot comes from my work. Brent and I are trying to be healthier so we've cut out most of our soft drinking extravaganzas. I was explaining to my work neighbor Nathan how well I'd been doing....that i havent drank one since Saturday and instead of a congradulatory high five or slap on the back he goes and gets a Dr. Pepper out of the fridge, draws a face on it, and sits it on my desk to taunt me for the rest of the day. im posting it to proudly say i did not drink the happy face Dr. Pepper!



Day 23
Today was fun and very social. i had a lot of great shots between lunch, working out with Grace, Grace and Erin making dinner, and the girls going out for some wine and dessert at a fancy place in town. all in all i decided on this one from lunch at freebirds...there are a lot of interesting "art pieces" there.



Day 22

The weather was very nice about 6:30 so Brent and I decided to take a little stroll around the complex, find something interesting, etc. So we were looking at....well i dont remember but something random in the grassy area when brent wispers to me that we have a stalker. I look over and this cute doggy was starting at us, luckily wagging its tail and very obviously wanting to play. it was too cute to pass up.

Day 21

Today i decided that i need to list things i need to do and things that i want to do over the next few months. I started pulling stuff out to quantify everything and soon i just began goofing around and making towers....see this is why a list is important. anywho i thought it might be fun to give a pictorial representation of my short terms plans. The left side is the should pile, the right side is the want pile. as you can see the right side is laden with bills to organize, GRE to study for, PA school stuff, etc. The fun side has the stuff i really want to pursue....fun new adventure book from Morgan, perfect my seriosly lacking photography skills, be crafty, learn about my plants so they dont die, be outdoors, etc. I'll try to make a balance but im just really tired of serious knowledge at this point. i want to get back to my creative side!

Day 20
Again in the car once more heading back home to Brent. The drive was super long but the weather was beautiful. i actually got out and took some random shots about 3 or 4 times just because there were so many photo opts. i had a lot of options today but this shot just makes me happy.



Day 19
So I drove to Richardson to hang out with my old roomate and wonderful friend for a well deserved girls weekend. We met up with our friend Lara for some thrift store shopping at some awesome places, had what can only be described as the best cupcake EVER, and saw Paramore and No Doubt in concert Sat night. The concert was INCREDIBLE! we had a blast listening to bands, dancing, and of course..people watching. the night was fun and very entertaining all around. i miss my girls! in honor of the amazing show heres my daily do



Day 18
Friday was a looong looong day. I felt like i spent most of the night in the car so i felt it only fitting to have my daily photo be of something i stared at for 3.5 hrs on the way to Dallas




Day 17
I had an eventful night Thursday. After work we first headed over to play volleyball with our friends. After a fun, uncompetitive 2 hrs Brent and I headed to the softball field for "Gang-greene" (my works softball team's) first official game! We got done about 11:30 with the fresh smell of sand and dirt circulating in the air. it was a fun night!
