HUUUUGGGE UPDATE FULL OF FUN!

So this update i am very happy to display because it mostly contains pictures from a well deserved VACATION!!! no work, beautiful weather, and fun people. of course well start from the earliest and go up so now that youve read this synopsis scroll to the bottom and scroll up for the full effect :)

Day 106
VERY VERY Sadly, today was out last day in Seattle with Blake and Amanda. we got up early to get coffee (of course) at the original Starbucks, some tasty donuts in the market, and enjoy the chilly 60 degree weather one more time! We got the airport about 8 or so, and sat very depressed like for about an hour waiting to board the plane. we contemplated very hard the possibility of missing our flight but alas....work calls. :( We had an amazing time up here and cannot wait to come back! we liked in so much our goal now is to move up there...how and when is still up in the air but its the goal. heres one final shot of their loft showcasing the "zoo effect" i mentioned before.

Day 105
today we set out to north to see the Snowqualmie Falls. We picked up Amanda from work, ate outside at this place called the BurgerMasters, who ironically had fantastic ham and cheese melts and french fries, then drove the half hour drive to the falls. The hike wasnt bad at all and you got these great views of this huge waterfall out in the mountains. After the hike we decided that we needed to have some fish and chips while hear in Seattle before we leave. We walked down to the peir for that treat and saw a gorgeous sunset behind some of the mountains surrounding the city. If youve seen pictures of mine you know i love sunsets so i couldnt resists. after the sun went down we went uptown a little ways to this place called the Dahlia lounge for donuts and campagne. now when i saw donuts i dont mean the little fried holes at the local shipleys... these donuts we little cinnamon sugar coated puffs of deliciousness accompanies by help yourself toppings of huckleberry preserves and marscapone cheese. Topped of with a little bubbly and we had one heck of a desert! and great end to the evening.

Day 104
Today we met up with some of thier friends to go kyaking in the lake around the city. unfortunately i did not want to get my camera wet so i dont have any shots from that part but we had a blast with our little armada of boats out in the water. we ended up floating by one of the boats from Deadliest catch, Kite Hill, the place were they played paintball on 10 things i hate about you, the Sleepless in Seattle boat, got a gorgeous view of the city, and almost photo bombed some wedding shots. After kyaking we visted the Fremont Troll, snacked on nachos and regained our strength at the loft before going to Blue C sushi (where the sushi is on a rotator belt and you just pick what you want as it comes by) and finished the night meeting up with some of thier friends as well as Martin and Gavin (local College Stationers) who happened to be in Seattle at the same time doing thier Drifting Creatives Project. We saw Inglorious Bastards which i highly enjoyed then headed home to sleep after catching an awesome night scene of the city from the roof.

Day 103
Saturday we went out to a beautiful lake north? of the city for the Valve company picnic. mainly it was for the kiddos but they did have free lunch so we were there! :) Before making it to the lake we stopped by Bungie where Blake works and got a sweet tour of the facility (Halo fans be jealous). Once we got to the picnic they also had rented segways to play on and a spin art Frisbee station (shown below). they had a bubble pit also and as much as i wanted to jump in i didnt want to be THAT person so i refrained. After the picnic we picked up some groceries and went back to chill at the house. we spent the rest of the night relaxing, watching shows on netflixs, and Blake and Amanda cooked up a delicious dinner of Kobe grilled steaks, garlic red potatoes, and choclatey cookies for dessert! mmmm.

Day 102
On Friday i again awoke about 7 Seattle time up and ready to go. i forgot to mention along with adjusting to the time differerance there is another reason why i could not sleep late. the building the amanda and blake live in recently underwent a window restoration project. outside of thier window in the living room is a number of scaffoldings the the construction guys are using the fix the windows. each morning if we werent up by 8 we would be greated by men talking to each other, looking in the windows, and drilling. it made me feel sorry for zoo animals b/c now i know how they feel! :) anyway, thanks to amanda we started the day mainly with product testing Left for Dead 2 at Valve (which was awesome FYI), more touring of the city, pictures on the pier and then...... the most delicious treat of the weekend....... THE CRAB POT. This resturant serves seafood steamed fresh and poured right on your table. Then they give you these little wooden blocks and mallets and of course, top it off with a bib, and let you go wild. we had king crab, dungeness, snow crab, mussels, clams, shrimp, corn, and potatoes, and bread. it was one of the best meals i have had in a LONG time!!! after that we rolled ourselves out and finished the night off with bar hopping and Dicks hamburgers..... "straight hustlin"

Day 101
Still on Texas time, I woke up about 6:30 am Seattle time ready for the day to begin. Amanda had gone to work already and the boys were still asleep. Anxious to see the view from the loft in the daylight for the first time i climbed up to thier rooftop terrace to see the view they always brag about :) and after seeing it for myself they had every right to brag. once you walk outside you look to your right and see mount rainier in the distance, straight forward you see Pikes Market down the street and a nice view of the city, if you go left you see the space needle, and all behind you in the Puget sound. it was gorgeous! AND, it was so chilly outside i actually had to wear a hoodie....in August....it was fantastic! We spent the morning walking around city, seeing the Seattle Public Library, shopping, and ending the night at a place called the Garage for free pool and drinks on Microsoft. :)

Day 100
Today we flew out from Austin about 4:30 pm central time waving goodbye to a blistering 101 (60th consecutive day in a row i might add) and landed into Seattle Washington at 8:30 (only 6:30 pacific time however). We gathered our bag, met Amanda (unofficially sister in law) at pick up, and headed toward the city enjoying the 20 degree decrease in weather only a four hour plane ride delivered. Blake (Brents brother) had his last hockey game of the season tonight so we went to cheer him on. Blake is # 21 on the teal team FYI. After the game we went back to Blake and Amandas place, settled in, and scarffed down some tasty pizza! I then proptly went to bed b/c i was still on TX time and i was tired!

Day 99
After my last day of work for a week (praise the Lord) Brent and I headed to down to Austin to hang out with Kristen and Justin (my sister and Brother in law) for the night. This was also the first time i have met my new "nephew" Tiger. We ended up seeing not only kris and justin but justins mom and brother who were helping the brother move to u.t. that night. We had fun having dinner, playing with Tigger, and chatting for the night.

before we head for cooler climates

Heres a good update to keep you occupied while i take a little hiatus for a few days:)

98
nothinig to fancy about todays shot....we were wasting time at academy waiting to go to dinner with erin, grace, josh and tommy so we wandered into the unventure aisles of academy.....when i say unventured areas i mean that brent and i mainly go to sports equipment and shoes then hop on out of this joint. these waders just made me laugh!

97
sunday brent and i recouperated from the weekends festivities. once we got up we hung out with my parents for lunch then headed to the inlaws for the afternoon. after a tasty lunch at the Cotton Patch and i swear a reunion with half the town, we came back to the house to sit and veg for a little bit. heres brent and mom and dad wondering what i am doing...

96
its amazing to me how fast Amanda and J.D.'s wedding got here! i got the text they were engaged while Brent and I were on our honeymoon (which seems like only yesterday) now here we are 7 months later and the wedding is happening. The day was very chill and I had a blast hanging out with Amanda and the girls beforehand and of course at the reception. while we were out snapping photos at the golf course (reception venue) i snuck a shot of amanda looks gorgeous and hip! :) this girl continually cracks me up! love her! hope shes having fun in gulf shores for the honeymoon:)

95
my honey is officially a graduate of Texas A&M University. I am so stinkin proud. notice the honor stole hes sporting. id just like to say brent worked him butt off and made it out Magna Cum Laude! freakin smarty! I just wanted to brag a little about my completely amazing husband, the brains and beauty below! enjoy! :)

94
My amazingly handsome, smart, funny husband graduated on Friday so on Thursday night a whole slew of people came in for the festivities. once the clements got in we all went over to thier hotel to bum the hotel pool and chat! this is one hillarious group so we had a blast hanging out... and i personally had a blast watching the boys act like idiots (j/k. but it was funny watching them goof off)

hello on this super hot wednesday

Day 93
i dont know if ive mentioned in the past but i just love my husband! i come home from a long day at work and our dinning room has undergone yet another conversion. no longer is it an office/garage/storage unit/2nd trash can/etc. it is now open for business as a fully functional seating place for eating, conversing, etc. he did a great job cleaning this up (as well as the rest of the apt). i love him!

Day 92
i had a blast going out to a fancy restaurant with Rick and Alisa to pig out and learn all about HPV and genital herpes. and as my mom asked on the phone afterward....it was def. worth the lecture to get that delicious dinner :) we wanted to get a fun pic for this but i wanted all of us in it so we fashioned a set up for an acceptable self time shot. it was a fun night

Day 91
we were at copy corner getting brents project pictures printed when i saw this random doodle of "mia" on it. brent took it upon himself to jazz it up a little. it think it gives it more character....and thanks to this i have had the same song stuck in my head for 2 days now so uh no funny business......

Day 90
brent and i recently came to the realization that our street has an oddly excessive amount of manholes. We decided to have a "manhole excursion" and map out a rough sketch of our road and the placement of the manholes. this stretch of street maybe covers a mile and half mind you. i hope you enjoy my expert maping and scaling skills as you enjoy this depiction.

Day 89
i was very appauled when i realized that not once in the 365 is there a pic of brent and i. this is esp astonishing if you know us much b.c we take pictures together A LOT. so i was determined today to post a shot of us. so here you go, heres us being "us" at target. isnt my husband dashing!

Day 88
to celebrate the end of Brents studio "class" we went out to rockwells to have some drinks and celebrate. heres a fun picture of haley, grace, and i hanging out and trying to stay cool. i love these ladies!

Day 87
a couple of years ago i decided that brent should collect rubber ducks. i think it all began with a cowboy duck i found around christmas time and the collection blossomed from then on. weve christmas reindeer, navy seamen, ducks disguised as cows, i even gave him bride and groom ducks as a wedding present. here is a fun little picture of almost all of Brents duck collection.

Day 86
another hectic day at work warrented a long, relaxing bath the conclude the night early. (dont these patients know wed. are slow days...sheesh) :)

Day 85
so i know it just looks like your ornidary (albeit delectable) weekday dinner but this was so monumentous due to that fact that Brent and I had not cooked a meal requiring more talent that preheating the oven in over a week at this point. we were both extremley glad to have a real meal at home again and know that in only a few more days brent will be done with the long nights in Landford.

Day 84
Another monday another hot hectic monday. luckily i make it through days like this by finding fun things around work. someone abandoned this spool of potential in the faculty parking lot. its fun to watch its decomposition process. everyday its a little more rotted, worn, weathered, etc. i like it. plus today i made the day go a little faster b/c i knew id get to have dinner with Jennifer. i intended on taking a pic of us then but we got so wrapped up in catching up we forgot. next time!

update'n it

Day 83
on sunday before i left for home i met up with mom and the inlaws for a little impromptu lunch at good ole hershells in Henderson. I told the rents to all look natural for the photo but apparently they didnt hear me.....or didnt care....so they had a diff. plan of thier own--- which makes this pic even funnier. :) We had fun!

Day 82 (August 1, 2009)
today was a busy and fantastic saturday. #1 because i wasnt at work but more importantly #2 we all got together to celebrate Amandas last few weeks of single-ness. i left C.S. about 8:20. We had lunch and a passion party during the afternoon which was hillarious. then we headed across town to host her lingerie shower and actual bachelorette party that night. there were a lot of FUN shots from the day but this one just took the cake.....sorry about the pun ;) i just love that shes chowing on her pizza while threatening the poor pastry.

Day 81
This weekend was the weekend to come into C.S. apparently so on Friday night we met up with josh, hudson, grace, erin, ryan, and jennifer up on the fun rooftop bar to have some drinks and hang out. we had a blast just telling stories and laughing plus we felt so swanky up on the rooftop.

Day 80
today was another crazy day at work so for lunch, even though i had already eaten i  HAD to leave the building for a little while. as i was driving around "new unchartered" parts of Bryan i found this really cool sculture with my favorite #4 modeled 4 times! ha!

Day 79
nothing much to say here, i liked the cool colorful birdies

Day 78
ok so not the best photo quality ever but here ya go. Brents parents dropped in on their way back to Henderson from their vacation so they decided to stay the night. we had a lovely evening hanging out and as an added plus....celebrating Ben's birthday! brent did an excellent job making everyone feel at home :)
